Leah Fuller began dancing at age 6 at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts. Training under HCA’s senior classical ballet teacher, Olga Krymchanska, she built a strong background in ballet. In both 2004 and 2005 she successfully completed Stelio Jazz Technique, graduated Highly Commended from The Russian Society of Ballet in 2011 and received the HCA's Directors Award in 2011.

In addition to her classical ballet & jazz training, Leah has also studied in a variety of other dance forms including contemporary, hip-hop, bellydance and lyrical. Growing up dancing she has a comprehensive performance experience with over 15 years spent on stage as a performer.

After taking a break from dance, a friend convinced her to go to a Salsa class where her passion for dance was rekindled. She was introduced and fell in love with Salsa, which began her journey into Latin Dance. She trained rigorously in Salsa and Bachata and in October of 2014 placed 3rd at DanceFeet’s Canadian Salsa & Bachata Championships in the Pro Am Bachata division and 2nd at The Baltimore Salsa & Bachata Congress in 2015.

Leah has studied, and taken classes with a variety of world-renowned teachers & coaches such as Joel Dominguez, Maria Palmieri, Anya Katsevman, Tito Ortos, and Eddie Torres. Additionally, she is one of the few Canadian instructors to have completed Tito Ortos' Salsa Certification Course recurrently. She is a certified Life Coach, a former Crisis Responder with Kids Help Phone, is a student at McMaster University and owns and operates Alegria Dance Company.

Nicole Lamb

Senior Instructor

With ballet, modern dance and hip hop under her belt, Nicole Lamb was looking for a discipline that directly spoke to her. While having moved to Hamilton, she took a few ballroom courses offered by the city but when she was on vacation to Cuba, you could say that Salsa found her! She explored the art with fervor and took various classes with Salsa Soul’s events, Alegria Dance Company and Nuvitzo Dance.

She has and continues to perform at Salsa Congresses and Festivals, but she truly enjoys the dancing aspect and engaging with every partner she dances with at socials.

She has passed certification courses from Tito Ortos and Tamara Livolsi and took intensive workshops from Eddie Torres, the Mambo King himself! Most recently, she completed Anya Katsevman’s (New York) Latin Teaching Training Program and Nicole is excited to utilize the skills taught required to teach a well-rounded class.

She is grateful for the opportunity to share her love for dance with the community at large and her mission is to have salsa find everyone, as it has found her.
